I know it sounds cliche but for real though. Sometimes you have this thing that drives you. It’s been there since you can remember. And you realise it’s your dream. Like your big dream. And you did some stuff to try and make that happen. Trying really really hard for a long time. And it didn’t work out. And you stop doing it. Because..you know. It was the right thing to do.
But what I didn’t realise is that sometimes you still hold on to all that old stuff deep down because you think that by letting it go, that means you’re giving up on yourself and giving up on your big dream. (If you’re interested in a really rad meditation to help you understand exactly what you’re holding on to check this one out).
And that’s just not true. In fact, sometimes you HAVE to let go of all of that old stuff so that you can start over. So you can revisit that big dream you had and look at it objectively- ok so…that way of achieving it didn’t exactly work out the way I had hoped. Now I’m ready to try something else to keep working towards that dream.
One thing I’ve realised is that a lot of times working towards your dream does not happen linearly and it happens in really strange ways. But this time around I want to be open to the non linearity of it all and also be in tune with what feels right to me.
And that’s all I have to say about that.
